pop eye pressure relief valve

Designed to provide emergency relief from excessive pressure in refrigerant-containing vessels, they are built in strict conformance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code requirements for safety relief devices.

Each valve bears the ASME code symbol of certification (UV). Their capacities are rated by the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors. These tamper-resistant valves are accurately set and sealed by qualified technicians at the factory.

What is POP-EYE?

POP Eye Pressure Relief Valve is an integral, self-alarming indicator which is becoming standard on all Hansen Technologies H56xx series Pressure Relief Valves. When a pressure lift (event) occurs, the LED light located in the cap will begin to flash.

How long will it flash?

The bright red LED indicator light will flash for 2+ weeks.

Do I need to power POP-EYE?

No, POP-EYE uses an internal battery (~7+ year life) which does not need to be replaced.

How do I test POP-EYE?

Hold a magnet against the cap in the designated area to test the circuit and temporarily illuminate the light.
